The Hotel Nacional de Cuba will host the debate named “What should’ve be, what couldn’t be, what should be”, as part of the program of seminars and workshops scheduled for the most important movie event of the year in the Caribbean nation.


A theoretical seminar on Latin America and the United States will take place on December 6 and 7, in the framework of the 31st New Latin American Film Festival at the event’s venue in this capital.

The debate will revolve around three topics, where stands out the panel Popular Fight against domination in the United States, Europe and Latin America: the role of networks and campaigns of the popular movements that intertwine these regions;
where French Bernard Cassen and Cubans Joel Suárez and Aurelio Alonso will deliver keynote speeches.

Another topic in discussion will be “Continuity and change in the US policy towards Latin America” that will be addressed by Mexican Gian Carlo Delgado, Panamanian Marco A.
