The Cuban network of Offices of the Curator of the City will implement a wide program of actions for higher education and exchange, the plan had been created since December 2008.

Patricia Rodríguez, a member of the Office of the Historian of Havana, said the network is working for a whole year, an agreement for international cooperation on finance has been signed a year ago.

This help should strengthen and systematize the inter-relationship between the historians of Havana City, Cienfuegos, Trinidad, Camaguey and Santiago de Cuba, cities that include a rector entity of the conservation of heritage, the architect stated.

During the 4th Workshop of World Heritage Cities, at Cienfuegos province,a publication on the heritage sites and related themes with management and protection will be released besides the formation workshops.

Isabel Rigol Savio, consultant of the International Council of Monuments and Sites, highlighted that the dialogue between historians contributes to the tangible and intangible values spread throughout the country.

It is vital to enhance the professionals'education in the field and to encourage popular participation in the processes, in order to know the characteristics of every scenario and preserve the sites of national and world values, Rigol Savio said.

The chair of Cuban curators'network is in Havana City, a post that will rotate one by one around all of the territories forming part of the project.
