Neurological rehabilitation in Primary Health Care
The incorporation of neurological rehabilitation services to the Primary Health Care, is an achievement of the Public Health System in Camagüey, eastern Cuba, based on the use of innovative technologies and the participation of a highly qualified personnel.
Community policlinics render their services to children, who due to different illnesses are clinically treated with good results.
It is worth mentioning the ideal use of diagnoses means and the treatment of the most frequent neurological impairments in adults and children, like the Parkinson disease and the Multiple sclerosis, the brain and spine injuries, the psychomotor delay, the genetic syndromes and metabolic disorders.
The neurological rehabilitation program in Camagüey also includes the use of the therapeutic riding to treat patients suffering from cerebral palsy, Down Syndrome or those who have had vascular accidents.
