Cuba continues its support in favour of Sri Lanka

The Cuban Minister visited Yahalakelle estate in Horana yesterday where Ernesto Che Guevara planted a tree 50 years ago.
Costa added that Che was a revolutionary who belonged not only for Cuba or Brazil but to the humanity as a whole.
Sri Lankan Deputy Foreign Minister Hussein Bhaila said the two countries maintain long-standing friendship and co-operation.
Cuba always gave a helping hand whenever Sri Lanka faced difficulties. He pointed out that memory of Che Guevara would always be revered by Sri Lankans.
Cuban Ambassador Nirsia Castro Guevara, Cuban Foreign Ministry official Ariel Lorenzo Rodriguez, Constitutional Affairs and National Integration Minister DEW Gunasekera and several others were present.
Diplomatic relations between the two nations are now reaching its fifty years
