According to Juventud Rebelde news daily, the program, created to commemorate and pay homage to the 45th anniversary of the prestigious company, includes pieces by renowned choreographers such as Alberto Alberto Méndez, Santiago Alfonso, Francisco González, Lizt Alfonso, Isidro Rolando and Manolo Micler, its artistic and general director.
Leonardo Buenaventura, head of the groups Foreign Relations Department, said that the show reflects the aesthetic concepts, languages and artistic styles of the company as well as the musical and dance richness of the Cuban people.
This is the first tour of Spain and Portugal of the Cuban National Folkloric Group after 11 years of absence.
