The group was created in 2004 from a collaboration project between Claudia Gerauer, Martina Joos and Thomas Engel with a group of musician friends. It centres its work on the music of the epoch before 1650.

Rayuela will also perform on June 10 at the Saint Francis de Paula church together with  the Cuban musical group Ars Longa, also interpreting ancient themes.

The German culture festival will run from June 5 to June 30 in Cuba, one of the six countries to hold this type of event in the world.

Likewise as part of the festival the Exaudi Choir will give a concert at the San Francisco de Paula church on June 26. The choir is directed by Maestra Maria Felicia Perez and will perform a program of songs by German composers of various epochs.
