In Santiago, Cuba 38th anniversary of Oriente Editorial concluded with the award of prizes
The jury of Cuban literature celebrities assessed more than 30 texts in the genres of novel, poetry, literary artistic essay.

Narrator from Villa Clara, Lorenzo Lunar won the Jose Soler Puig prize for his novel, La casa de tu vida; while the book Espacio literario and womens writing by the researcher from Camaguey, Olga Garcia, was awarded the Jose Antonio Portuoondo prize in the essay category.

Also, of the 16 poetry books competing for the Jose Manuel Poveda award, the jury selected La Rosa en la Jaula, a text by poet from Holguin, Luis Yuseff.

For three days participants of several provinces of the country debated subjects linked to the current state of Cuban literature, conferences were given, poems and stories were read and books were presented to the public.

In the national Oriente prize awarding ceremony, issue number 41 of the literary magazine was presented on the occasion of 10 years of uninterrupted work. It is an emblem of the Santiago de Cuba publishing house.
