Cuba is one of the 13 boxing squads participating in Pan-American Boxing Tournament in the 15-16 year-old category beginning tomorrow in Quito, Ecuador.
Digital media outlets from Ecuador note that the young Cuban boxers have been training in that country since last week in La Tola gym and say that they are considered favorites, even over the Dominicans.

According to the program, there will be a technical meeting this evening at the Seis de diciembre Hotel, as an introduction to the competition to take place at the Julio Cesar Hidalgo coliseum.

The action will extend over four days followed by a rest day before the finals, on Sunday.

Cuba will depend on 8 boxers led by undefeated Robeisis Ramirez (52 kg), who has a 122 winning streak. The other members of the squad are Yosvani Silva (46 kg), Gianni García (48), Yanior Ribalta (50), Yunior Valdes (54), Arlen Lopez (57), Samuel Saul Rodriguez (63) and Luis Len (70).

The Quito tournament precedes the World Championship scheduled for May in Erevan, Armenia.
