The Amadeo Roldán Auditorium Theater will welcome these celebrities, who will be also accompanied by the National Symphonic Orchestra, under the direction of Enrique Pérez Mesa, according to Cary Diez, vice-president of the Organizing Committee. Cubadisco, the most important event in Cuban music industry, from next May 16 to 24, will be dedicated to Puerto Rico as the guest of honour country.

The DVD Sinfónico Live, by Danny Rivera, is one of the proposals for the Cubadisco 2009 International Award, while Frank Fernández will receive a special tribute for his 65 years of artistic life.

This edition will be the most popular one in its history with the participation of more than 200 albums from all over the country, which will be disputing the important awards in the very different music genres, video clip and Cuban productions.

There will also be handed in some special awards, including the Extraordinary Children’s Music International Award, for which there are competing pieces from Mexico, Colombia and Austria, among others.
