The Auditorium Theater Amadeo Roldán will host these celebrities, who will be accompanied also by the National Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Enrique Perez Mesa, reported Cary Diez, vice president of the Organizing Committee. Cubadisco, the most transcendent event of the Cuban recording industry, from May 16th- 24th, will be dedicated to Puerto Rico as guest of honor.

The DVD Symphonic Live, Danny Rivera, is among the proposals to the International Award Cubadisco 2009, while Frank Fernández will receive a special tribute for his 65 years and 50 of artistic life.

This meeting will count with the highest number of participants in its history with over 200 national phonograms which will opt to dispute the prestigious awards in the most different Cuban musical, videos, and production genres.

Special prizes will be also awarded, including the Extraordinary International Award for Children Music, and works from Mexico, Colombia and Austria compete for such award.
