As part of efforts to meet the growing domestic demand, the company is producing carbonated mineral water in 330-milliliter PET bottles.

In addition, studies are being carried out to start producing flavored water this year.

Los Portales S.A. was set up as a joint venture between Corporación Alimentaria de Cuba (CORALSA) and the group Nestle Waters to produce natural mineral water and soft drinks for the domestic market and for export.

The company's water sources are the mineral springs of Ciego Montero, in Cienfuegos province, and Los Portales, in Cuba's westernmost province, Pinar del Río.
