 Cuba Reelected to Advising Committee of the UN Human Rights Council
The Cuban candidate, Dr. Miguel Alfonso Martinez, Professor of the Higher Institute of International Relations in Havana was re-elected.

Professor Miguel Alfonso Martinez, has a broad and recognized experience in the field related to the council.

Alfonso Martinez was elected as the first President of the Advising Committee of the Council and worked during 23 years as Expert of the Sub Commission on the Protection and Promotion of Human Rights; resulting elected and re-elected by the Human Rights Commission in 6 consecutive elections.

Cuba will continue its cooperation with the universal and non discriminatory mechanisms of the UN Human Rights Council and will also continue actively participating in all international forums related with the theme.
