Havana Biennial its Opens
The Biennial is organized by the Wifredo Lam Center, an institution affiliated to the National Council for the Arts. Practically all of Havana will host the event as all museums and galleries will participate on the program that runs through April 30th, with showings and activities of a diverse nature.

Saturday morning features the opening of expositions in Old Havana and in the afternoon at the Pabellon Cuba space in Vedado, a venue being organized by the Tales from the New World International Collective project.

A forum generating much expectation is promoted by Alexis Leyva Machado (Kcho) under the title Punto de encuentro (Meeting place) with artists from around the globe. It will open at the San Francisco de Asis Convent. One of Kcho’s guests, Cai Guo Nang (China), will make a performance in the plaza alongside this venue.
