Cuba now has 10000 health technology graduates
Julio Portal, dean of the Health Technology Faculty at the Higher Institute of Medical Sciences in Havana, explained that this program, devised by Commander in Chief Fidel Castro in 2002, facilitates en masse training in the 169 municipalities of the country through the universalization of university level education.

There are currently almost 90,000 students studying at the four health technology faculties, located in the City of Havana, Camagüey, Villa Clara and Santiago de Cuba.

Cuba’s achievements in this field are displayed at the International Technology and Health Conference in Havana’s International Conference Center until this Friday.
