The announcement was made by officials of the Empresa de Grabaciones y Ediciones Musicales (EGREM) Records, who described this as the result of consistent work directed at promoting the traditional values of the island’s music on Cuban labels, reported Granama newspaper.

The director of EGREM Records, Racial Ruiz Rodríguez, said that this 45 year-old company is currently engaged in the complex process of facing the new challenges of record distribution technology, but always bearing in mind that “the most important thing is to preserve the country’s musical memory.”
