The material constitutes a musical analysis of the music of this man from Pinar del Río who was once the great revelation of Cuban music. The script and the direction are by José Manuel Fernández Paulín, who aims, in somewhat less than an hour, to get us closer to the musical wealth of Fernando Borrego Linares.
In the documentary, many famous personalities from the musical world of our country such as Olavo Alén and Doctor María Teresa Linares offer their opinion, which is even richer with the analysis by Eduardo Rosillo, teacher of broadcasting in Cuba and expert music researcher in the country.
Its producer, José Manuel Fernández Paulín, is the creator of more audio-visual materials such as De la gorra a los spikes (From the cap to the spikes) dedicated to Luis Giraldo Casanova, nicknamed in Cuba as Mister Baseball Player; Nido de cisnes (Swan nest), a documentary that gets us close to Mantua, a region in Pinar del Río whose children engross the membership of the National Cuban Ballet and which was awarded in the Latin Image and Sound Festival, Panama 2007. Fernández Paulín is also the autor of important audio-visual pieces that recreate the cultural heritage from Pinar del Río.
