Young Cuban musicians at the Kart Marx Theatre Hall
United Nations Children´s Fund (UNICEF) and its representative in Havana, José Juan Ortiz acknowledged to the press the participation of the Cuban artists in the project. This concert will be the first of the activities for the 20th anniversary of the Children Rights Convention.

Together with the Cuban Ministry of Culture, UNICEF has the purpose of offering children and youth a high quality proposal with the support of prestigious artists.

Cuban actor Jorge Perugorria, artistic director and promoter stated that artists in the project feel very proud for their participation. He informed they have composed a song entittled “Libres” (“Free”) which will be premiered during the concert and which will be the theme of the celebrations for the 20th anniversary of the Convention.

He also announced that “ G Street” will be the tittle of both shows at the Karl Marx Theatre Hall because children, teenagers and youth are always associated to cities’ streets as it’s the case of that representative avenue of Havana City.

Perugorria and the four composers, singer songwriters and their respective bands will be joined in the stage by the Children National Choir and Danza Abierta (Open Dance Company) with set designs by the visual arts artist Rene Francisco.

Both concerts will be recorded to be trasmitted by the Cuban national television and by foreign televisions while there will be a video clip of the “Libres” (“Free”) song.
