 Association of Cubans Living in Nicaragua to Meet this Summer
The president of the group, Rafael Ruiz, stressed that one of the event's objectives is to strengthen the participation of Cubans living in that Central American country in the struggle against the US blockade the archipelago has been under over the last 50 years.

According to the activist, the group's members will carry out visits to different departments in the country to increase the solidarity-with-Cuba movements prior to the celebration of the event in mid 2009, la voz del sandinismo.com reports.

ACRN also has, among the purposes of the meeting, the analysis of the struggle for the release of the five Cuban anti-terrorism fighters unjustly incarcerated in US jails; the incorporation of Cuban families living in Nicaragua to the activities scheduled in defence of Cuba; and the celebration of anniversaries of events from their native country.
