Carcaño, who also heads the Latin America and the Caribbean Democratic Women's International Federation, met with leaders of the Christian Women's Youth Organization, and Grenada's National Women's Organization.

The leader of the Cuba delegation also met with women representing The New National Party, currently in opposition in the government, and others representing the National Democratic Congress (NDC). She also met with the Women's Committee of the Commerce and Industry Union.

The Cuban delegation also met with Alimenta Bishop, mother of former Prime Minister Maurice Bishop, who was overthrown and murdered on October 17th 1983.
