They also spoke about the current state of bilateral relations between Cuba and the European Union and about topics of regional and international interest.
The visitor was accompanied by Dermot Brangan, Ireland's Ambassador in Havana, and by the members of his delegation.
The Cuban side included FM Felipe Perez Roque, Deputy FM Dagoberto Rodriguez Bandera, and Jorge Quesada, Acting Director of the Europe Office at the Cuban Foreign Ministry.
Earlier on Thursday, the distinguished visitor met with his Cuban counterpart Felipe Perez Roque and placed a floral wreath at the monument dedicated to Cuban National Hero Jose Marti at the Revolution Square in Havana.
