Cuba Promotes Recycling
According to statistics, sales and services in 2008 amounted to 261 million pesos, mainly by concept of recycling non-metallic and non-ferrous products.

That way, recycling grew 2 percent last year, compared to 2007.

Cast iron, stainless steel, copper, electronic junk, paper, textiles, glass and tires were among the main materials recycled last year.

The experts noted the work of community recycling centers, which recovered cardboard and glass bottles, which are highly demanded in the local industry.
