Cuban Pitchers Need Support says Trainer
Jose Elosegui, former pitching main coach for the Cuban national baseball team, asked for support for pitchers, especially for Havana’s Industriales, which pitching roster is having a very bad performance in the 2008-2009 National Championship.

Elosegi is now working for the team Matanzas as a pitching coach, and he believes that the pitchers of the team Industriales "are the same who made Havana’s baseball fans vibrate with emotion and joy through all these years, and now deserve the respect and the support of the fans."

He said there are many young coaches working with the pitchers, and when something like this occurs, time is needed for them to know pitchers better.

Elosegui worked with these athletes for years in the Cuban national team, thinks confidence must be put on those pitchers, now with bad results, but who need more time.

He showed himself pleased with the work done up to now with the pitchers of Matanzas, one of the team over Industriales this year, with 21 won matches, while Industriales has 20 victories only.

Industriales brought the debut of former national team short stop German Mesa as a manager, who brought former pitcher Lazaro Valle as pitching main coach in the team. Now this team is in danger to be out of the classification for the first time in 14 years.

Havana fans now believe Elosegui is now responsible for the problems in the Industriales pitching roster.
