During his visit to the island, on an invitation by the Cuban Communist Party, Petersen visited sites of economic interest, and learned on transcendental socio-cultural projects.

The daily states the KP historic solidarity with the Cuban people, its condemnation to the blockade the United States maintains against the island 50 years ago, and actions of support for the release of five Cuban anti-terrorist fighters unfairly imprisoned in jails of that northern country.

The Danish party has led a strong movement of support and recognition to the work of the Cuban Revolution on the occasion of its 50th anniversary.

This visit is a significant step to strengthen relations between both parties, the publication stresses.
