The tribute, in which musicians, singers and composers linked to the world-renowned artist will participate, will begin on February 15 and will end on August 24, the date of Benny More's birthday.

The homage will begin in Havana, where the Benny More Jazz Band, directed by Jesus Camejo, will present the show "Aqui Esta el Benny" (Benny Is Here).

Every month, until August, experts in Cuban popular music will hold concerts, meetings and roundtable discussions on Benny's life and work.

Born in 1919 in central Cienfuegos province, Bartolome Maximiliano More Gutierrez is considered the most outstanding Cuban singer of all times.

Although he never studied music, Benny composed several songs, including Bonito y Sabroso, Qué Bueno Baila Usted, Cienfuegos, and Dolor y Perdon.
