A music festival in Cuba is dedicated to Georg Friedrich Handel
The meeting, expected to take place between January 31 and February the 8th, will also celebrate the 15 years of artistic life of the Old Music group Ars Longa, which is directed by the Cuban maestros Teresa Paz and Aland Lopez.

At the San Fransisco de Paula church the organ player Moisés Santiesteban, will premiere concerts for organ and orchestra, written by Handel. Audio visual works dedicated to the work of the famous German musician, who nationalised English will be projected in the same place. Handel was considered the most important composer between Purcell and Elgar in England.

Handel is the first modern composer who adapted and focused his music to satisfy the tastes and needs of the public, instead of the taste of nobility and patrons, as was usual in those times.

His work started an era in the English music and is also the first great maestro, based in the homophony technique, as well as the biggest in the serious Italian opera and the oratorio.
