Cuba President Raul Castro in Russia
Raul Castro was welcomed by Deputy Foreign Minister Serguei Riabkov at the Vnukovo airport, in the outskirts of this capital.

The statesman"s agenda here includes official talks with Medvedev and other government leaders of the Russian Federation, the Kremlin press service informed.

This visit takes place at a time when both countries term excellent the bilateral links of friendship and cooperation.

The Russian head of State traveled to Cuba in late November, where he carried out an intensive agenda, and met with the historic Revolution leader Fidel Castro.

After Venezuela and Brazil, Russia is the third country the Cuban president has visited since he was elected as president of the Council of State and Ministers of the Caribbean island, and the first to Europe.

As a culmination of talks between the Cuban leader and his Russian peer, several documents will be inked, sources reported.
