It was, undoubtedly, a golden end of a program in which also greatly performed dancers from the Royal Flanders Ballet, Ballet from the Paris Opera, Bolshoi Ballet and Ballet Bejart from Lausanne indicates a note from the BNC.
In the first part of the gala, Valdés and Frómeta made a refined interpretation of the pas de deux de La fille mal gardée with a choreography made by the prima ballerina assoluta Alicia Alonso, where expressiveness that accompanied each movement was appreciated by the public, whose applauses obliged the dancers to get out several times to the stage.
In January 2007 and after a long absence of Cuban dancers from the Czech stages, Valdes and Prometa made a unique presentation in Prague that left an indelible memory in the public. Last night function revalidates the recognition of the talented dancers, representative of the known Cuban ballet school.
This is the fourth edition of Prague Gala Ballet, sponsored by the International Ballet of that country, in which take part couples and soloist with classic and modern pieces.
On the other hand, tomorrow Thursday will be presented at the National Dance Museum, located in Linea and G streets, in El Vedado, a special edition of the rehearsal of Alicia en el país de la danza (Alicia in danceland) by Fina Garcia Marruz, a text which is a valuable literary approximation to the art of the founder and director of the BNC.
The work has been published as part of the collection Venablos de Ediciones Vigía from Matanzas, with design and illustrations by Rolando Estévez and will also be presented by its editor, Agustina Ponce, who is also director of Vigia. The works of the publishing house are famous for their craftsman character, as well as by its high artistic creativity.
For this occasion, the National Dance Museum will exhibit an exhibition about the links of the group from the Origenes magazine with dance.
