On the other hand, the Education and Culture section made a special recognition to the poet and poetry reader Luis Carbonell, the teacher of generations of Cuban artists, while the Environment section highlighted the work of the Brigade General Francisco González López.

Founded on January 9, 1793, influenced by the renewing ideas of Illustration, the SEAP was organized in Havana by a group of important nationals, among which stood out Francisco de Arango y Parreño, Tomás Romay and father José Agustín Caballero.
Related today with the scientific-technical, economic and social work of the country, it groups together important specialists from its four fields: Education and Culture, Social Sciences, Economy and Science and Environment.
