Excellent percussionist, the great Chucho Valdes said of him "the best sound in drums of the world" and one of the most important within the entire Cuban musical history. 

Creator of the Latin jazz, of popular music, this king of congas left an evident sample of his virtuosity in several genres as well as of his participation next to other remarkable musicians in different instrumental groups.   

Tata Guines appears in this CD in all the versatility and performing creativity he had, the selection was carried out by Jorge Rodriguez and the record notes by Maria Elena Mendiola accurately explain the steps of Tata for the music and his virtues, appreciated by everyone.
