Nearly 50 Cuban and foreign artists are participating in the event, which is sponsored by provincial cultural institutions in Guantánamo.

The festivity was this time dedicated to the neighboring province of Santiago de Cuba and the 15th anniversary of the prestigious, prize-winning Contemporary Dance Company ‘Danza Fragmentada’.

The event’s program included a gala in honor of renowned dancer and choreographer Ladislao Navarro, conferences, gala dances, stage shows, literary events, art exhibits and a colloquium on Cuban music.

The 13th Symposium on Caribbean Heritage is currently holding sessions at the conference hall of the Mariana Grajales Revolution Square. Organizers consider the symposium the most important event in the framework of the “Guantanamera” Festivity.
