The garden, which opened to visitors interested in learning about the different varieties of orchids and plants, exhibits more than 400 species of orchids, its main attraction.

According to experts, the hurricanes damaged 15 varieties of orchids, which will be replaced by specimen from central and eastern Cuba.

The garden holds the largest collection of Cuban orchids and valuable specimens of Cuban and foreign flora, including endemic species.
