Professor Mercieca denounced the incident during Friday's closing session of the 18th Congress on World Peace held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He explained U.S. travel restrictions imposed on American citizens who want to visit Cuba.

The congress, held over this past week, was attended by more than 70 representatives from around the world.
