During a visit to Havana, Ching highlighted Cuba's support for boxing in several countries, and said AIBA should benefit from that experience.

The AIBA official met with members of the Cuban Boxing Federation, whom he briefed on the association's work, new projects and reforms.

AIBA's priorities include the creation of academies, the organization of a World League and the inclusion of women's boxing in the Olympic program.

Regarding Cuba, he said the island nation has great potential to return to the summit of Olympic boxing, and added that he expected Cuba to have a better performance at the 2012 Olympics.
