According to Prensa Latina news agency, one of the organizers of the meeting, Lazaro Valdespino, thanked the universities of San Carlos and Landivar, the municipal mayor’s office, the ministries of Culture and Sports and other Guatemalan institutions for their support of the event.

The National Choir of Guatemala participated in the closing gala of the meeting, which on this occasion was dedicated to the development of television.

The ceremony was attended by the Cuban ambassador in Guatemala, Omar Morales, and a delegation that included Jose Ramon Artigas, one of the founders and most important directors of Cuban television.
