Valera, Vice President of Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba UNEAC and winner of National Music Prize 2006 is nominated for the first time in the category of Best Contemporary Classic Composition with the CD "Non Divise", by Camerata Romeu.

It gives me pleasure to know that my work will be selected among 40 discs and more than 300 authors, the musician told Juventud Rebelde paper.

Jorge Liderman (Barcelonazo) and Carlos Jose Castro (Concierto del sol) among others are also nominated in that same category.

Latin Grammys 2008 awarding ceremony will take place November 12.
