Liobel Perez, member of the organizing committee, told ACN that nearly 300 delegates will participate in the event to discuss topics related to the sugar cane agriculture, energy, animal food and the environment.

The program of the meeting includes an International Workshop on Sustainable Production of Alcohol and Beverages, co-sponsored by the State Modernization Fund of the Canadian Agency for International Development.

Also during the event, national and foreign firms will be able to show their products and services in order to lay the foundations for future agreements of common interest.

DIVER takes place every other year and it is sponsored by the Cuban Institute for the Research of Sugar Cane Derivatives (ICIDCA) and by the agricultural entity of the Venezuelan State Oil Company (PDVSA).
