Cuba Health Services Back to Normal after Hurricanes
Some hundred patients have been already admitted both in the geriatrics and the internal medicine wards, two of the most damaged areas in this health institution.

This hospital -founded by Fidel Castro in 1986- offers 30 different services counting on 3 100 employees, 457 of which are physicians and 930 nurses.

The emergency department’s admissions have been largely reduced here for the last eight months thanks to the medical care granted at the primary care health institutions.
