Abstraction and reality in two visions of young cuban artists
The self taught Francisco Alejandro will try to use the character of Dracula – used as a pretext to take the red pigment to its main expression in the abstract work – to parody over the phenomena of the autonomy of painting in a context marked by the increase of the technologies in the creation process.

On the other hand, Glenda León, uses directly that technology in her proposal El vuelo de la razón. This technology is only used in the first exhibition with the use of the video – art, photography and installation in order to reflect the beauty of the daily life and to represent the reality as it is.

The CDAV, who main objective is the promotion of the contemporary plastic arts, is one of the institutions that support young creators through their close links with academic centres of the country, presentation of thesis and other exhibition proposals.
