The former leader of the alternative punk-rock band Mano Negra and his father are part of the thousands of intellectuals and artists of the world who have lended ears to the call by Cubans against the US economic, trade and financial blockade on this country.
The message highlighted that Cuba has been dramatically devastated by two powerful hurricanes that crossed the Island recently and have affected food production and other important spheres of Cuban industry.
Artists from Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Venezuela, Italy, France, Greece, Australia, United Kingdom, South Africa, Venezuela, and other nations, are among the signatories of the document, who are professors, philosophers, actors, novelists, dramatists, film directors, journalists and jurists.
"We summon international academicians and artists from all over the world to demand immediate lifting of the US criminal blockade, and foster solidarity actions to support Cuba," the call ends.
