Good Performance by Cuban Swimmer in Canada
Tendero scored 67.856 points in the figure contest and 75.833 points in the routine competition, totaling 71.845 points in an event attended by 73 swimmers.

In mid July, she participated in the Caribbean Islands' tournament and won the technique and free-style contests easily. Both judges and experts highlighted her performance in that event.

On this occasion, the winner of the championship was Canada's Emilia Kopcik, who was followed by Alexa Tchekmarev (United States) and Ana Mendoza (Mexico).

Colombia's Laura Arango and Venezuela's Paula Fernández finished fourth and fifth, respectively.
