Start the Mexican Cultural Days in Cuba
The Days of Mexican Culture in Cuba, celebrating the Declaration of Dolores, will have this year the north-eastern state of Nuevo Leon as guest with participation of artists from that state, informed the Mexican embassy in this capital.

The main event of the celebrations will be the Great Mexican Cultural Gala and Ceremony of the Declaration of Dolores, the night of the 15 of September at the Amphitheatre of the Historic Centre of the City, in front of Havana Bay , with free entrance for the public.

That same day in the morning, the Mexican ambassador in Cuba , Mr. Gabriel Jiménez Remus, will place a floral offering in front of the busts of the Mexican heroes Miquel Hidalgo and José María Morelos, as well as in front of the statue of the Cuban national hero Jose Marti, in central Havana parks.

A simple of premieres will be showed at the Charles Chaplin Hall of the Cinemateca de Cuba, among them the several times award winner film "El Violín", which will have the participation of its director Francisco Vargas.

The program also has activities in other locations such as the Hotel Comodoro in the west of the city, in the Casa de las Américas and in the Casa Benito Juárez in old town.

The Havana Cultural provincial Direction called an Interpretation Competition of Mexican Rancheras " La Lupe " and the bar "El gato tuerto" will offer a tribute gala to Pedro Vargas.

Typical and varied specialities of the Mexican food will be commercialised in a luxury restaurant of Hotel Melia Cohiba as part of the Gastronomic Days from the 12 and until the 29 of this month. The Comodoro Hotel will present a book about Mexican food.

Official organizations and Cuban, Mexican and Spanish cultural institutions are among the sponsors and organisers of the Mexican Cultural Days in Cuba .
