The presence of the book in the island will coincide with the 80th anniversary of the film director, born on December 11, 1928.
The book "Titon: volver sobre mis pasos" provides a deep look into the most intimate thinking of the director of "Strawberry and Chocolate" through his correspondence with friends, relatives, loves and colleagues such as Spaniard Carlos Saura, US Sydney Pollack, Cuban Julio Garcia Espinosa, Robert Redford, Glauber Rocha, Tony Richardson, Carlos Fuentes and Cesare Zavattini.
There are also love letters, sent to other loves previous to Ibarra and letters also sent to her.
The actress ended this substantial volume, crafted and organized by her, with a chapter dedicated to her most intimate bond with Titon, and speaks of the method of work of Gutierrez Alea, his mystical world and his magnificent humor.
The collection of letters, chronologically ordered, covers a wide period, from 1953 to 1996.
The protagonist actress of "Hasta cierto punto", in which she worked for the first time with her husband in 1983, was also the "Nancy" of "Strawberry and Chocolate".
