Cuban Dayron Robles Clocks 12 97 in 110m Hurdles
The Cuban sprinter ran the 12.87 second record in New York and has stopped the clock below 13 seconds more than once after.

This meet is the 5th stage of the Golden League, where Kenya Pamela Jelimo, 19, won 800 m (1:54.01) with the third best time ever.

Before Jelimo were faster Czech Jarmila Kratochvila whose 1:53.28 sprint was world record on July 26, 1983 in Munich, Germany, and Soviet Nadezhda Olizarenko (1:53.43).

The African runner improved her previous mark by 86 seconds at Beijing Olympics and her new timing is Africa's and World Junior record with which she won the Golden League one million dollar award.

110m hurdles final standing:

-1. Dayron Robles (CUB) 12.97 seconds.
