An initiative in the teaching of visual artists in Camaguey Cuba
The project, with seventeen children, is called Pincel con alma de beso (A brush with the soul of a kiss), a metaphor that stems out of an expression by José Martí on the patriot from that province Ignacio Agramonte, who he qualified in an article as “A diamond with the soul of a kiss.”

This initiative tries to lead and promote the appreciation of visual arts in children, who will be able to understand and represent their surroundings, says the digital page from Radio Cadena Agramonte.

Every Saturday, children use their imagination and enter into the technical details of the use of the brush and colors.

Marta Jiménez, a graduate from the Art Instructors School in one of its first few promotions, is one of the members of the artistic avant-garde of Camagüey, and is one of the founders of the Fidelio Ponce de León visual arts amateur group.

She also has the Distinction for Cuban Culture and the Espejo de Paciencia recognition given to her by the provincial Culture direction.
