Prestigious Cuban writer Fernando Martinez said the fair will span to other Cuban cities up to March 8, trailing the 2007 edition that visited 42 cities at all 14 Cuban provinces.

The 18th edition will honor National Award Winners Fina Garcia-Marruz (Literature) and Historian Jorge Ramo Ibarra (Social Sciences).

Chile will be guest country and its composers Violeta Parra and Victor Jara will be honored as well.

Annual attendance to the Fair grows and it showed in the 2008 edition that attracted some 320 publishing houses from 32 countries.

Advertisement in Bolivia occurs within the International Book Fair in La Paz to run until August 28.
