The figure of the Angelote, a replica of the monumental sculpture from the Carlos Manuel de Céspedes Park, is a piece done in wood and metal, and created by the sculptor Eduardo Sablón.
Perugorría, considered to be the most famous contemporary Cuban actor, owns his professional jump to his interpretation of the character Diego in the movie Strawberry and Chocolate (Tomás Gutiérrez Alea and Juan Carlos Tabío) in 1994.
Miel para Oshún (Humberto Solás), Lista de espera (Tabío) and Guantanamera (Alea and Tabío), are some other movies in which Perugorría showed his talent. He has also entered the world of visual arts, with exhibitions in Cuba and other countries from Latin America and Europe .
Luis Alberto García has a lot of experience in theater and he became also a symbol of male performance in the country, when he interpreted unforgettable characters in movies such as Clandestinos, La vida es silbar and Madrigal (Fernando Pérez) and Un paraíso bajo las estrellas (Gerardo Chijona).
Jorge Perugorría and Luis Alberto García were participating in the National Audio-Visual Festival Por primera vez (For the first time) in Holguín that was dedicated to documentaries as a genre and to the recently deceased producer Octavio Cortázar, of whose work the event took its name.
