This tribute is part of the festivities for the 197 th anniversary of the signing of that nation´s independence act and it will be organized by the Venezuelan Embassy in Cuba .

The Venezuelan groups IVEN, Cecilia Todd and Iván Pérez Rossi accompanied by Chuito Rangel and Pedro Colombel will present themselves in the event.

As an exception the Mariano Gallery is calling the Manual Work Workshop, for children and pre-adolescents, from Monday 14 until Thursday July 24.

Music will come back to the Casa on Tuesday 15 with the presentation of Alfredo Diez-Nieto, work and teaching.

Soy del Caribe (I am from the Caribbean) a usual space from the Caribean Study Center from the Casa will recieve on Wednesday 16, the poet and narrator Pablo Armando Fernández, National Literature Award and one of the most important literary voices in Cuba.

On Friday 18 and Monday 21, the Casa de las Américas, in coordination with the Embassy of Colombia in Cuba, will celebrate the events Colombia en la casa, coinciding with the National Holiday of that country to celebrate the 198 th anniversary of the start of its Independence .

July ends with the presentation of the number 251 of the Casa magazine, on the 22 nd at four in the afternoon in the Manuel Galich room. Its pages have been illustrated with pictures taken y Che, unpublished all of them and include a text by Enrique Oltuski, its collaborator in the Ministry of Industry.

Va por la Casa will last this year until the month of August, to multiply the options of those who wish to meet each other in their rooms. From August 27 to 29, the institution will be the venue of the congress Machado de Assis y/en América Latina on occasion of the centenary of the Brazilian writer.
