Cuban Education Minister lauded the results of the recently finished academic year

She highlighted that about 105,000 teachers are enrolled in an Education Science Master's degree program, from which over 2,000 have already graduated.
In that sense she commented that new spaces are being devoted to increase teachers' education, aimed at improving their teaching skills and control of the contents.
Velazquez recalled that the increasing efficiency of Cuban schools was recently recognized in the the second regional Comparative and explanatory Research of Education quality made by UNESCO. Cuba scored best in the region on that international measure of educational quality.
