ICAIC proposes a space in memory of Jose Lezama Lima
The tribute started past 16 in the cinema Charles Chaplin with the presentation to the press of the movie by Tomás Piard El viajero inmóvil (The motionless traveler), a mixture of fiction and documentary stemming from Lezama and his main work, the novel Paradiso.

The remembrance continued with a pilgrimage to the grave of Lezama, in the Colon Cemetery, last Monday 23 and with the opening on that same day of an exhibition with pieces by the photographer Orlando Luis Pardo and wardrobe created by Miriam Dueñas for the movie El viajero inmóvil.

In the evening the Charles Chaplin cinema screened the premiere of the movie, whose commercial premiere will take place on June 26 in the popular Yara cinema.

On the 24th there will be the opening of an exhibition in the Casa Museo José Lezama Lima by photographer Francisco Bou and staging sketches by José Manuel Villa. The space Fe de vida: imagen y palabra directed by the writer Aitana Alberti will be opened to the screening of El viajero inmóvil in the Rubén Martínez Villena Room of the Unión de Escritores y Artistas de Cuba (Union of Writers and Artists from Cuba).

Also, Monsignor Carlos Manuel de Céspedes, on the 25th in the Church of Saint Agustin will offer a mass dedicated to the author of Paradiso, one of the founders of the emblematic Orígenes magazine.

The tribute will continue in the Casa Museo José Lezama Lima with an encounter in which will participate some part of the cast of El viajero inmóvil and with the start of the shooting of the documentary La casa del poeta (The house of the poet) by the producer Jorge de León.

The Havana Chamber Orchestra and the Santa Cecilia Wind Quintet, with guest musicians from the National Symphonic Orchestra and the Gran Teatro de La Habana together with students from the National Art School and the Higher Art Institute will perform a concert with the El viajero inmóvil Orchestral Suite, by Juan Piñera under the leadership of Iván del Prado.
