People’s Support to Health Works in Ciego de Ávila

The repair of those Health centers --five in each
municipality in the first stage-- is carried out with local resources,
and constitute one of the tasks currently undertaken to welcome the
55th anniversary of the attack on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de
Céspedes barracks.
“The clinics selected for their restoration are of the so-called type One, that is to say, they take a doctor, a nurse and a sixth-year medicine, student”, as stated by Reinol García, Director of Health in the territory.
The people’s participation has also been critical in other health works carried out in the province, among them, the restoration of the general hospitals in Ciego de Ávila and Morón cities, where the effort of the people translated into several hundreds of additional beds.
Other health works that are being currently executed to welcome the July 26 anniversary are the integral policlinics of Ciro Redondo and Ceballos towns, as well as the maternity homes of several communities to complete 40 in the provincial territory.
